No.60353
torch

[Categories] Art director/Illustrator
[Location] Tokyo / Japan

Japanese American raised in Hong Kong. Graduated as a Studio Art Major from New York University. The main theme that runs through my works is ""the interaction of shapes"" and often is intensely detailed. I mainly work with pencil, pen, recycled-material (for sculptures), paper cut-outs and charcoal.

[ No.60353-1 ]
A self-portrait drawn out of ""spikes"" that protrude from the center of the figure's mouth, giving it an explosion-like effect.
[ No.60353-2 ]
Spike-like shapes were drawn out of one center point, and then half of the shapes were cut out (the shadow creates another shape)
[ No.60353-3 ]
Fusion of the cultures: I deformed some Kanji (chinese characters) and drew them in a tribal-tattoo style.
[ No.60353-4 ]
Symbolism from Buddhist and Aztec religious art. Excessive symbolism actually turns out to be chaos rather than guidance.
[ No.60353-5 ]
A japanese-style dragon made entirely out of plastic kitchen utencils (spoons, forks, cups, knives).
