| After high school, I studied economics at the University of Tohoku. Upon graduation, I worked for a trading company for one year, but later I took a one-year apprenticeship under Sculpture Artist Takayuki Oshima. I then studied art and design at the ICS College of Arts for three years. While at school, I worked under my mentors, Choei Hara and Narumitsu Hara, both prominent designers, and then officially joined their design firm. During this time, I devoted my time, energy, and talents to designing and planning a wide range of commercial spaces such as hotels, event venues, retail stores, and restaurants, to mention just a few. And at the age of 30, I became independent in the month of my own birthday. My creations feature an integration of both graphics and space, to produce cost-effective commercial spaces as well as design presentations. |
